About this tool
Use the timer for cooking, workouts, breaks or homework. Choose hours, minutes and seconds, or tap a quick button, and press Start. You can pause and resume. When the time is up an alarm sounds. The remaining time is also shown in the tab title, so you can see it while you work in another tab.
Frequently asked questions
Will I hear the alarm if I switch tabs?
Yes, as long as the page is open and the sound on your device is on. Some phones mute sound from background tabs, so keep the page visible if it matters.
Can I run several timers at once?
Not on the same page. Open the page in a new tab if you need another one.
How accurate is the timer?
It works out the time from your device's clock rather than by counting seconds, so it stays accurate even when the tab is in the background.
